Mount Zion has been active celebrating the 81st Anniversary of the Women’s Ministry, and this week is the culmination of their celebration. You are invited to join us for three very special events this week. Mark your calendars for a glorious Intergenerational Prayer Meeting, chaired by Sister Rebecca “Becky” Anderson, on Wednesday, March 22nd and hosted by Sister Elma Horton. Then, on Friday, March 24th, Sister Winona Hollins Hauge and Sister Sarah J. D. Dean, will give those in attendance the opportunity to participate in drawing nearer to God intentionally, spiritually, and artistically. A special program/workshop featuring Dr. Yvonne Terrell Powell, who along with her sister, co-authored the book, “An Intentional Walk with God” will take place from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. On Sunday, March 26, at our 10:00 a.m. Worship Service, an accomplished women of God, the Reverend Dr. Christine A. Smith, National President of the American Baptist Women’s Ministries will bring the message taken from our anniversary theme: “Rejoice in the Lord in Times of Uncertainties” (Philippians 4: 4-7). All are invited to join us as celebrate the 81st Women’s Ministry Anniversary. The Co-chairs for the Anniversary are Deacon Darlene Hobbs and Sister Cathy Marshall.
