Tigest Beyene a local Author, and subject of the The Documentary Film Walk by Faith A Testimony By Tigest Beyene has been making her rounds since the start of the year in person, and on the digital circuit bringing attention to the importance, of promoting Domestic Violence Awareness by sharing her story of strength, forgiveness and new beginnings.
Over the past year Tigest has been actively promoting her documentary and book Love, Sex, and sorrow in which both detail her life story in where she experienced domestic violence firsthand in past relationships, in which one of them resulted in her being shot twice a decade ago in the Sea-Tac area. Tigest an entrepreneur, hospital employee and A mother of two feels it’s her duty to use her voice and her faith in God as a source of strength to influence others who may have encountered similar past trauma in their own personal lives. From an early upbringing with two proud immigrant Ethiopian parents, Tigest has been no stranger to working for through hard times, learning from her mistakes, and has continued to see the best even in the darkest situation.
Tigest was recently the keynote speaker at Green River College for a Domestic Violence Awareness panel this past month, and currently can be found with more upcoming speaking engagements, the launch of her website walkbyfaithdoc.com and a self-help book with an early 2025 release date. At this rate, it’s safe to say her walk is far from over.
