This cel-ebration took place on Thursday, February 20th, at The Esquire Club.Coach Williams has made an indelible mark on the community through her unwavering commitment to mentoring young athletes. As a volunteer coach, she has not only led her team, “The Fu-ture,” to success on the basketball court but has also instilled vital life skills and values in her players. Her passion for giving back and nurturing the next generation has earned her the admiration and respect of countless families and peers. I’ve had the pleasure of know-ing Miss Loritta Williams since my daughter played for her 5 to 6 years back and even then I would be like Miss Williams, is up on my baby! She’s just a kid. But the reality is the type of discipline she provides is both transformative and necessary for young people. I have watched countless children tightened up the minute they stepped foot onto her court no instructions no questions asked. And not out of fear, something bigger than that, respect.
