ANOTHER GAME ANOTHER WIN
It’s getting to be one of those sites that you have to appreciate when the good is good. The Seattle Seahawks are now 3-0 to start the 2024 season. The last time the Seahawks started the season 3-0 was in 2020 and this is just the 8th time the team has a accomplished the feat. I mean it’s safe to say the Seahawks are not going to undefeated and win the SuperBowl. I am not saying that it cannot happen. It’s not likely . Having said that, enjoy the ride. It is going to an adventure. The Seahawks defense is awfully good. Their defense is based on applying pressure up front, like backers like Tyrel Dodson and rookie Tyrice Knight who stepped in for the injured Jerome Baker and a secondary that is as good as there in the league. Strong safety Rayshawn Jenkins led the team with 10 tackles, free safety Julian Love had another stellar game in pass defense. The Seahawks cornerback pair of Riq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon is the best in the league after three games. Why? The two can play the run and are legitimate shut down corners when it comes to the pass game. In the teams 24-3 win over the Miami Dolphins the team had a goal line stand that stuffed the Dolphins offense from their four yard line and right after that the offense went on a 11 play 98-yard scoring driving that was capped off by a Zach Charbonnet 10 yard to seal the game. As for whether the Seahawks believe in themselves the answer is. As for being a good team head coach Mike Macdonald put the breaks on the question during his post game interview.
"I think the tape is going to tell the story. We are in a great position where we've done enough to win each game that we've played. There's a lot of great stuff on tape, but we're also at the beginning stages of this team and who we are going to become, and the guys know that. It's very clear when you watch the tape where we need to improve, and there's a great opportunity for us to improve. The message is, 'Let's take advantage of this opportunity that we have.'
So, there you enjoy the wins and yes, the is bound to be a loss here and there. But one thing is certain Macdonald is building a contender.
