Seattle Youth Commission Projects
In addition to representing youth across the city, commissioners receive hands-on experience in the public sector and learn how to cultivate a youth voice in city policy. As a commissioner, you will:
Advise the Mayor, City Council, and City departments on issues that impact youth in Seattle,
Collaborate on a community project with other Youth Commissioners,
Plan an annual event (or several events) that connect youth to local government and topics they care about, and
Cultivate a deeper appreciation for cultural competency and inclusive civic engagement.
