For the Seattle Mariners nothing could be mor factual. See the Mariners embarked on a six game road trip in which they won three of six games. Not a bad record given the Mariners won the first two games , lost the next three and won the final game. A heavy footed , slumbering and road weary Mariners returned to the comforts of home last Thursday and best believe the team was glad to be home. How glad ? The Mariners won their next three home games against the Colorado Rockies.
Often said but not always believed the term home field advantage makes a difference to the athletes. The three game win streak was much needed for the Mariners who used the sweep to get their groove back. While the Mariners current record is 8-9 they are just 2.5 games behind the Division leading Texas Rangers. The good news is the Mariners will be home for another six games . The Marines will host the Milwaukee Brewers the second hottest team in baseball for three games and the St. Louis Cardinals for another three. So if you get a chance take yourself to the ball park and be part of Mariner Nation and cheer the M’s victory.
