The BIPOC Learning Center, in partnership with Guidance to Justice Law Firm, has launched "Let's Talk Voting," a series of enlightening summer events highlighting the importance of local elections. Keynote speaker Mary Anderson, a trial attorney at Guidance to Justice, inspired attendees with her insights, fostering a strong commitment to civic engagement.
Our initiative's success led Recovery Café to invite us to host a similar event for its clients. The turnout was overwhelming, with many individuals registering to vote on-site, demonstrating the community's enthusiasm for participating in the electoral process.
We are now expanding "Let's Talk Voting" in collaboration with Bailey AME Church in Everett, Washington, hosting four sessions. The first two events successfully engaged enthusiastic participants and registered first-time voters. We eagerly anticipate our upcoming sessions on October 20th and 27th, confident they will inspire even greater community involvement — all are welcome to attend!
