Roxanne was born in Seattle to Ellen Marie Hall and Freddie Brown and was the fourth of six children. Even with her natural beauty, she would say she was a bit of a tomboy growing up. She would just as soon beat you in a foot race (barefoot, I might add) as race you to a leaping catch of a football. Both fashion savvy and practical, Roxanne loved putting her own 'twist' to things. She graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1973. After high school, she embarked on her career in Finance to raise her daughter. Roxanne married Douglas White in 1979 and a few years later, that union produced a son. She worked diligently to be a positive influence with her friends, family, in her professional life, and within her community, contributing/donating to many worthwhile causes. Before retiring from the banking industry, Roxanne worked for Seafirst Bank/ Bank of America for 24 years. Then, retired from the University of Washington in 2022 after 20 years in their employ.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father and brothers Freddie Jr., Leroy, and Robert. Roxanne is survived by her daughter Mikel Smith (Mikki), son Douglas T. White (Theo), grandsons Douglas T. White Jr., Anthony White, Dae' Von White, August White, DaMari White, and a host of friends, relatives, and extended family.
