Charlie Clifton Bailey, born November 27, 1919 was called home Monday, July 19, 2021. Heaven shook and God said, I need him to rest. Charlie was born to Eligah Bailey and Savannah Williams of West Point, Arkansas. At an early age Charlie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and demonstrated his commitment all the days of his life.
In 1945, two weeks after meeting, he married his loving wife Geneva Bailey (Dillard) of Damascus, Arkansas whom he remained faithful until his final breath. Together they had five children Geanetta Sanders, (Cleo) Lindell Bailey (Carolyn), Charles E. Bailey (Barbara), Robert E. Bailey (Kathleen), and Anita F. Bailey. They have 13 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, and 8 great -great- grandchildren. As the patriarch of the family, Charlie talked openly about the importance of faith and family. People often joked that if anyone was getting into heaven we knew without any doubt that Charlie would.
The family of Charlie C. Bailey would like to express our deepest appreciation for your thoughts, prayers, flowers, cards, calls and visits as we mourn the loss of our patriarch. The shared memories from all of you have meant a great deal to all of us.
