Verna L Paris-Thompson
Oct 11, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce that Verna L. Paris-Thompson, 72, from Seattle, Washington, passed away on October 11, 2024, after an extended battle with cancer.
Verna was born on March 25, 1952, to Robert and Mary Paris, in Earle Arkansas. She moved to Seattle at a young age and attended Garfield High School. She was known by many as a hostess turned baker at Winchell's Donuts in High Point. She then worked for thirty-one years at Kelley's Answering Service until her retirement.
Verna (aka Paris) encouraged many people around the greater Seattle area with her gifts of paintings, arts, and crafts that she gave away freely, especially during her favorite holiday, Christmas.
Verna was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mary, her two brothers, Robert and Raymond, and her husband, Stephen. She is survived by her three daughters, Aundria Paris-Armstrong, Nichole Paris, and Mary Hendrickson; two nephews (and their families); two sons-in-law; and three grandchildren, Paris and Israel Armstrong and Amaya Hendrickson.
A private memorial and scattering of her ashes will be held in her honor.
