Shanice Ty’esha Sanders (Niecy) aka Nu Nu, aka Biscuit aka Bubble Butt debuted to the world on May 19, 1993 in Tacoma, WA to proud parents of Garrison (Gary) Sanders III and Tyra Armstrong. Shanice was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at a young age. Shanice rededicated her life to Christ at Rock Foundation Church of Seattle where she was on fire for the Lord and served as a praise dancer.
Shanice was a ball of fire; her personality was large, and her smile would light up a room. She was a sweet, caring and loving young lady. IF Shanice loved you – she loved you ALWAYS, but IF she had a problem, she would definitely voice it and resolved it! She was a loyal friend to a fault; she would stop what she was doing to help a friend. She was always thoughtful of others.
Shanice loved her kids; she was a dedicated mother. She knew how to nourish both of their personalities; she was patient and loving. Shanice met all their needs and then some. There was not a Jordan that came out that she did not stand in line for. THEY WERE HER WORLD!
Shanice attended both the Federal Way School District and Seattle Public Schools. Shanice was very smart in school; several teachers said she would not do her homework nor participate in class, but she always aced the tests. After receiving her high school diploma, following her mother’s footsteps Shanice attended Seattle Central College.
Shanice ALWAYS kept a JOB! She could get a job in a drop of dime and demand her pay! She worked in the medical field, she loved the interaction with patients, she loved to make them smile, cheer up their day and fix any problem they acquired.
Shanice loved her family and her family loved her; she was a ray of sunshine! She loved family time playing games and cookouts, especially 10,000. Although Shanice lost her biological father at the age of 6, she had two very influential father figures in her life Leonard Charles and for the last 7 years Ricky Tucker had her back 100%. Because her mother was picky about who babysat Shanice, she spent a lot time with both of her grandmothers.
Shanice Ty’esha Sanders was proceeded in death by her father Garrison (Gary) Sanders III, her grandmother Ollie Sanders, her great grandparents Mr. Edward and Mattie Armstrong and Mr. John and Gladys Griffin. To continue her legacy, she leaves her daughter Jimice LaFaye Carter, son Logan Garrison Downs, mother Tyra Armstrong, grandmother Linda Faye Broussard, grandfather Garrison Sanders Jr., siblings Alexa Sanders and Marcel Sanders, aunt Stacie Sanders and uncle Rev. Lee Jones, first cousins Jaylen Jones and Javaun Jones an abundance of cousins and extended family who were truly family.
