Peggy Jane Williams, Â
Sunrise July 31, 1959 , Sunset January 22, 2025.Â
Peggy was the third of five children born in Seattle Washington to the union of Rev. David B. Williams and the late Mary Jane Williams.Â
She grew up in the Montlake neighborhood where she built a host of childhood memories and lifelong friends. Peggy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church where she began her Christian journey.
Â
In 1977, Peggy became a proud graduate of Lincoln High School in Seattle, Wa. This is where her love for poetry began. She continued her education and received a scholarship to attend Southern University in Baton Rouge.
Â
Peggy's first and true love has always been GOD and poetry. In 1985, she wrote her first poem book entitled, "Up Against the Water." In her later years, her love for GOD called her to become a minister and Peggy was ordained in Seattle.
Â
Peggy's life was full of adventure and touched hearts wherever her feet landed. Her contagious laugh, humor, and poetry always left a lasting memory for those that knew her. She loved her family and friends deeply and unselfishly. She will truly be missed
