Owen Samuel Craft passed away in Renton on November 5, 2024, at the age of 63. He was born August 2, 1961, in Wichita Falls, TX to Roscoe Conklin Craft Sr. and Helen Bessie Smith.
Owen graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1979 and attended Texas State University in San Marcus, TX. In high school, he participated in ROTC and sang with the Youth Across America choral group. They performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Vatican in Rome, Italy.
Owen joined the USMC in 1988, was awarded Sharp Shooter status and honored with a Meritorious Unit Commendation. A member of the prestigious Honor Guard, he was stationed at 8th & i, White House detail, in Washington, DC. His unit participated in parades, funeral detail for fallen veterans and other events.
Owen received an Associate Degree in Information Technology from South Seattle Community College, made the Dean's List, and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, International Honor Society. Baptized at the Holgate Street Church of Christ in 2004, he served as a song leader there and at the Springbrook Church of Christ.
Owen is survived by his wife, Sandra (Hilton) Craft of 15 years; son, Trumonda Hilton, brother Roscoe Craft Jr. of Columbus, OH, sister Glenda Sue Waggoner of Wichita Falls, TX, other family and friends.
