Mary E. Reed was born Jae Soon Lee September 23, 1954, in Seoul, Korea to unnamed parents. At age two, Mary was adopted by Herbert and Sadie Coleman of Los Angeles, CA.
At 12, her adopted parents passed. Mary then went to live with Sadie’s niece, Gloria and Thomas Waggener in Seattle, WA. Mary became the younger sister to Judith and Christina who embraced her with open arms.
Mary married Ulysses B. Reed (Sonnie) in 1972, then welcomed two daughters U. Benita. (Bunny), and M. Lenette (Korns). Carmella Smith and BillieJean Hendricks later became “bonus daughters”.
Mary will be remembered as the most generous and sweet-spirited human being that some people had the privilege to know. She will be remembered and missed dearly by those who knew her.
Her Celebration of Life will be at: New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church, 19300 108th Ave. SE, Kent, WA 98031, December 7, 2024 at Noon.
