Lonnie “Annette” Barnes was born on February 10, 1957 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi and moved to Seattle in 1981, where she resided until her passing on March 10, 2023.
Annette was predeceased by both parents, Annie Louise Wright and Baurice Payton, her brother - Carl Hunter of Ocean Springs, MS and her brother - Michael Payton of Biloxi, MS.
Annette is survived by her children – James Barnes, Jr., Jalise Hammon, and Tameka
Hammon, all of Seattle, WA; her siblings - Phyllis Lofton (Rickey) of Newport News, VA; Sheilah Sutton (Carlton) of Rolesville, NC; Valerie McClelland – niece/sister, of Seattle, WA; Sammy Wright of Steilacoom, WA; Gregory Payton and Freddie Hunter, both of Los Angeles, CA. Annette was a grandmother of five, and leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Memorial Service will be at 1 PM on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 1pm at Peace Haven Chapel – 7714 Douglas St. West, Tacoma, WA. Arrangements by Scott Funeral Home of Tacoma.
