Obituary
The Life of Joan
Joan White was 77 years when she was called home. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa to Rev. William M. Duncan and Margaret K. Hayes.
Joan attended the A L Harding Academy of Theology, where she received her AA in Theology. She loved the Lord with all her heart, was a devoted Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir and served meals to the saints for years at Rose of Sharon Pentecostal. Joan was an LPN and Psychiatric Nurse for over 35 years. She enjoyed writing poems to the sick and shut in. She and Tracy moved to Seattle in 1984 from Missouri.
Joan is preceded in death by her loving Mom and Dad, her beautiful sister; Marilyn and 2 brothers. They are all waiting to welcome her at the pearly gates.
She is survived by her loving and talented daughter; Tracy White, six sisters; Nellie, Lorraine, Mary (Andrew), Lilly-May (Robert), Elizabeth, Ruth-Ann and four brothers; Baby Richard, William, Ernest, and John. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory a grandson; Markel, grand-puppy Onyz and whole host of cousins, nieces, nephews great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Joan; Mom; Aunt Joanie; Ms. White; Sister Joan will be greatly missed. May she rest forever in God’s arms.
