In Loving Memory of Jane Pearl Beamon

In Loving Memory of Jane Pearl Beamon

On October 9, 1922, God blessed James Taylor Cook and Marie Viola Kirksey Cook with the birth of Jane Pearl Cook Beamon, the fifth of nine children. Jane graduated from Greene County Training School in Eutaw, Alabama. She attended and was baptized at Cooks A.M.E. Zion Chapel. She lived in Chicago, Illinois, and then moved to Seattle, Washington, and met and married the late Jessie Beamon on February 7, 1974. Jane worked as a butcher until retirement. She loved holidays, family dinners, and traveling the world. She was heavily involved with the First A.M.E. Church in Seattle, and volunteering with the food bank. Jane passed away on September 17, 2020.

Left to celebrate Jane's life are her two living sisters, Lois Harris and Susie Dennis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.

Due to COVID, a celebration of life will be held with family only on October 8, 2020, at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue, Washington. In Lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the First AME Church Feeding Ministry, 1522 14th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122.
