On Friday November 3rd 2023, James Raymond Ma- bery Jr (known as JR to his friends) passed away at Harborview Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 11, 1974 in Kansas City Missouri to Helen and James R. Mabery Sr. He is preceded in death by his father James R. Mabery Sr. James moved to Tacoma Washington at age 4. He at- tended Franklin Elementary School and Foss High School. He loved playing baseball and football. He was a member of the Al Davies Boys and Girls Club in Tacoma where he played foot- ball throughout his elementary school years. His fa- vorite sports teams were the Chicago Bears and thePittsburgh Steelers. He loved to fish and work on cars. He leaves to cherish his memories; His mother Helen Denise and Oscar Hopper (stepdad); His wife Michele Mabery; His brother Jodie Logan (Monique); His sis- ter Shaunte' Denise Praty; His children: Chanel Mabery (Marco), Anycia Mabery, Kyera Mabery, Jeraya Willis, Jaiquan Gog- gins, James Raymond Mabery III; 7 grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and, cousins. A special thanks to his Aunt Debbie who was amazing to the family and to James in his final hours. To Tonya Santavicca, a dear family friend. To Billie Pierson, his loving and faithful companion.
