In Loving Memory of Howard Black


July 1, 1958 – July 16, 2021

Howard Black was born to Ronald Black and Sara Batiste in Seattle, Washington. He attended John Muir Elementary School, Asa Mercer Middle School, and Franklin High School. He was a popular classmate and an exceptional athlete. He graduated in 1976.

Howard attended Seattle Community College and Walla Walla College where he played basketball and football. He was recruited by UNLV to play basketball.

Howard knew the Lord from birth. He attended Peoples Institutional Baptist Church and Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Sara Rolax; children, Tayona, Bacardi (deceased), Brandon, Kashay and Jalen; siblings, Shellie, Rhonda, Regnell, Freddie, Maurice, Dana, Shana and many relatives and friends.

He loved all, was loved by all and will be missed by all.

Viewing: Friday, July 30th 4-8 PM Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.

Celebration of life: Saturday, July 31st at 1 PM Jimmy Hendrix Park.
