Gloria J. Leonard was born in Seattle, WA on January 12, 1947, to the union of the late Charles and Katie Ratliff. After a long battle with Diabetes and Kidney Disease, she departed this life on Sunday, August 8, 2021, surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter. Gloria retired as the Director, Neighborhood Libraries (Seattle Public Library) after more than 30 years of service. As a former Librarian reading was one of her favorite pastimes. She loved the Lord and was a founding faithful member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship. In addition to her Christian walk, playing BRIDGE and active membership in the Idlewyles private bridge club was her passion.
Gloria was a loud and proud graduate of Franklin High School’s Class of 1965! An active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for almost 50 years.
She will be missed by her family, friends, sorority sisters and colleagues worldwide.
My heartfelt sympathies to your family on the passing of your mother and grandmother. She was a kind, loving and thoughtful woman.
