In Loving Memory of George William Flowers Jr.


Sunrise February 18, 1935 – Sunset December 27, 2022

George William Flowers Jr. was born to the union of George and Mary Flowers of Memphis,

Tennessee. George grew up in the Hollywood area of Memphis and attended Douglas High

School. Upon graduation from high school George joined the United States Army. After

receiving an honorable discharge from the Army George made Seattle, Washington his home

and worked as a mechanic for 35 years. In past years George accepted Christ as his Lord and

Savior.

George is preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary, older brother, Walter Brown,

daughter, Laurie Hawthorne, and dear friend Muriel Hawthorne. George leaves to cherish his

memory siblings; William Flowers-Odessa (Detroit) and Georgia Flowers-Snipes (Atlanta).

Children; Y. Denise Freeman (Jones), William George Thomas, Patrick McMillon, Regnell,

Rhonda and Frederick Hawthorne and Darryl Taplin. George also leaves to cherish his

memory many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close family, and friends.


The family would like to extend special thanks to the Four J’s Adult Family Home

for the excellent care you gave George while he was in your care.
