In Loving Memory of Ezra Davis III aka “Skeet”



Ezra Davis III aka “Skeet”

was born on July 7, 1956 to Ezra Davis II and Ruth Estelle Davis, both preceded him in death. Ezra departed this life on March 25, 2021 while residing in Lancaster CA.


Ezra was born in Denver CO. Ezra’s parents relocated to Seattle WA when he was 2 years of age. Ezra attended Coleman Elementary in Seattle. Later his parents relocated to Lancaster CA where he attended Antelope Valley High. After graduating high school, Ezra returned to Seattle WA where he became active in the Black Panther movement. Ezra was also known for his smooth vocals throughout the community, which he lent to various local groups as lead vocalist. At a young age, Ezra had a son, Don Juan (mother, Gail Coleman) who proceeded him in death. Later Ezra met and married Mary Rocha, who had two children, Jennifer Young and Amanda Young, that Ezra accepted as his own. To this union was born three children, Ezra Davis IV, Elijah Davis, and Shallina Davis.


Ezra is survived by his loving wife LaWanna, his brothers Perry O. Blackwell(Aline), Ronald E. Blackwell “AKA” Tyrone, Harris D. Jones(Diane), David C.

Davis(Valerie), Ozzie LD Davis, Wendell M.C. Davis(deceased), Rufus Davis(Rebecca), and Ezekiel Davis. Also, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.


The family would like to invite you to join them for a memorial picnic in honor of Ezra Davis.
