In Loving Memory of Eugene Carter


Eugene Carter was born to William Tate Carter Sr. and Lucille Taylor in Galveston, TX on March 14, 1938, the 5th of 9 children born to this union. He had many loves in this world but none greater than his love for God. He graduated from the Nashville Christian Institute in 1957 and became a preacher at an early age. He was also a skilled mechanic and a master carpenter for many years.

Eugene left this earth on December 4th, 2020, just days after finding his daughter after 56 years. He is preceded in death by his Parents William and Lucille, his “soul mate” Thay Carter, daughter Doris Sharp (Martin), Sons Philip Carter-Stone and Anthony Young, brothers William Jr., Richard aka "Sonny”, Anderson, Robert, Sylvester and Paul Carter and grandson LaKeeth Sharp.

He leaves to mourn his daughters Phyllis Carter-Stone, Stockton CA and Aprel Carter-Robinson (Derrick), Renton WA, son Darnell Teague, Moline IL, Sisters Mary Young, Auburn WA and Bertha Carter, Oakland CA, Granddaughters, Carmen, Kendra, Emerald, Special, Diamond, Ashlei, Reina and Liberty, Grandsons, James, Marcus, Philip II, Charles, Isaiah, Justin, Hayden and Darnell Jr., 33 great grandchildren and a host other close family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on December 28th 2020 and live streamed from Mountain View Funeral Home. Eugene will be greatly missed.
