Elizabeth better known to many as “Grandma” or “Auntie Betty” gained her wings September 28,2024 peacefully at home with her family and loved ones by her side.
Elizabeth was born December 16, 1943, to the union of Kathleen and Louis Austin Sr. she was the youngest of 12 children, she would always say “I am the last of the Mohicans”. Betty attended Immaculate Catholic school from kindergarten to the 12th grade when she graduated. At the age of 18 she married the love of her life Louis Barrow Sr. They were married 49 years until God called him home. To this union four children were born 3 sons Louis Jr., Floyd Sr. Gregory and 1 daughter the baby Lois. Betty worked for many years at Children’s Hospital where she retired from so she could take care of her mother at home. Her life was always filled with family and fun. Planning family picnics at the park always made her happy, she loved her family, but her kids, Bear, and grandkids great and great great were the apples of her eyes. Betty cherished each and every one of them. Her favorite past time was going to the casino or just playing card games around the kitchen table with her girls. If you know you just know.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen and Louis Austin, husband Louis Barrow Sr., sons Gregory and Louis Barrow III and all 11 of her sisters and brothers
She leaves to continue her legacy, one daughter Lois Barrow and three sons Louis Barrow Jr., Floyd Barrow Sr.and Floyd Barrow Jr
5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members. Celebration of Betty’s life will be held at Immaculate Conception Church,820 18th Ave Seattle, WA 98122 date and time will be announced.
