Formerly known as Robert Edward Lawrence Carhee, 73, passed away in Tacoma, WA on June 28, 2020.
Diaba's formative years were spent in Washington, D.C., Memphis, TN., and Seattle, WA. In 1961 he attended Howe Military School in Indiana, an early sign of brilliance which was recognized in the July, 1961 issue of Jet Magazine. He graduated from Garfield High School, Seattle, WA and in 1964 he joined the Marine Reserves. He attended Seattle University and University of Denver, obtaining a Masters in Economics, and second Masters in International Studies.
Diaba preceded in death by parents, Rev. Clarence Leon Carhee and Raychelle Lynom Carhee.
Diaba survived by his three children, daughters, Kimberly Carhee, Keturah Carhee; son, Khalil Carhee; granddaughter, Kyla Carhee; Brothers, Clarence Carhee, Jr.; and children, Winston Carhee (Dolores) and children.
Diaba has a host of cousins and friends that willcherish his life and legacy.
