Crayton Lance Jones, a lifelong resident of Seattle, WA was born on October 14, 1962. On January 21, 2025, at the age of 62, he passed away from an illness.
Crayton is survived by his wife, Thelma Jones; his daughters from a previous marriage, Jasmine and Jocelyn Jones and his grandchildren; his brother, Christopher Jones (Korina); his niece, Kristin; and his sister, Cyndra Jones; as well as his Aunt Natalie, and many cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Clifford and Coraellen Jones, and his sister, Cecily Jones.
Crayton grew up in Seattle’s Central Area, in the neighborhood affectionately called “the Valley.” He had many wonderful memories of living in a neighborhood where everyone knew everyone, and everyone cared about your well-being. Crayton attended Harrison Elementary School, Meany Middle School, and Garfield High School. He played basketball throughout his school and later years, and also became involved in the ministry. Crayton was a kind and spiritual person.
A memorial is scheduled for Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Garfield Community Center from 2-5pm.
I’m saddened to hear of Crayton’s passing. I haven’t seen Crayton in years. May he rest in peace. We will see him in paradise. I’m eating for his family.
