Brenda was born to a blessed union in August 1960, adopted by Collins Burks & Annie F. Plumma and upon her death she was then raised by Collins and her stepmother, Fannie W. Plumma in Seattle.
She attended Garfield High School and graduated with a bachelor degree in Accounting from Seattle Pacific University. She worked for a time at Stallworth and Associates and for 20 plus years she was employed by T-Mobile based in Bellevue, WA.
Brenda was a faithful and steadfast wife to Leroy Johnson Jr. for 32 years. She was a devoted mother to her three children: Marquia Wooten, Leroy Johnson III and Collins Burks Plumma Johnson. She was a veracious reader, who loved to cook and was an adventurous eater. In her travels to Jamaica, Dubai, and Africa she had the chance to experience locally prepared culinary delicacies such Antelope and Wild Boar. She was a master gardener who was very proud of her home green house and yard plantings. A talented artist, both a seamstress and knitter and she loved to sing.
Her greatest joy besides her children were her granddaughters: Nevaeh and Naiya Spencer, Grace and Goldynn Riley. She was most looking forward to welcoming her first great-grandson.
Brenda touched many lives; her smile brightened any room and she was full of laughter. She had great friends and a loving family.
Surviving to cherish Brenda’s memory is her husband Leroy, Sister in laws: Shelia Diane Williams, Pine Bluff, AK; Ruthie Ann Cabine, Atlanta, GA; Maude Parks, Milwaukee, WI. Daughter: Marquia Wooten (Aaron) Riley, Sons: Leroy III and Collins Burks Plumma Johnson. A host of nieces and nephews and extended family of cousins and friends and co-workers.
She departed this earthly life on November 18, 2021 to her eternal rest and will be missed by ALL.
