In Loving Memory Caprice Billingsley-Gordon, Age 61

Born in Eastern Washington to James and Ora Billingsley,

Caprice grew up in Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood, where she formed lasting friendships and strong family bonds. She passed peacefully in January and was predeceased by her parents.

Caprice lived boldly and loved unapologetically. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit left a lasting impact. Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.

For over 30 years, Caprice served as a dedicated dental assistant in Seattle, Tucson, and Las Vegas. She embraced her in-laws’ Nigerian culture, celebrating milestones with them in Europe and Asia, where she had planned to return for her birthday.

Caprice is survived by her daughter, Alexus Gordon; two grandchildren; sisters, Jennifer Billingsley and Michelle Billingsley-Akpojovwo; brothers, Curtis Tyson and Charles Ballou. Also honored are Mary Milligan-Walker, Ben Thomas (Dorothy Green), Sheila Thomas, Kelly Parks, Eliza Hodge, Charlotte Jahn, Mark Milligan, Marcel Foster, Rhonda Faye Hodge, and many extended family and friends.

To Alexus: Mommy is so proud of your strength and growth. You carry her essence within you, and her love will guide you through every challenge and triumph.

To her beloved grandchildren: Grandma watches over you with love. Your laughter and curiosity brought her joy, and your kindness and strength filled her with pride. Keep exploring, dreaming, and loving with all your heart, knowing you carry a piece of her with you.

To her cousins and childhood friends: “PreeCee!” cherished every moment with you, from carefree youth to adulthood. Your laughter, shared dreams, and adventures formed her happiest memories. Remember her in your smiles, stories, and ongoing love for one another.

A service of songs and celebration of life will be held in London, UK, during her birthday week in October.
