Fall and Halloween Events 2024



Get out your costumes, it’s time for trick-or-treating! Seattle Parks & Recreation is hosting a variety of Fall and Halloween activities all over town for tots, teens, in-betweens, and families. Events listed in chronological order. Some event require registration. Please call the community center or search for the event online for more information.

MID-AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT/ CHINATOWN CCFriday, September 13, 4-6PM. FREE. Ages 17 and Under.The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival celebrates families gathering to light lanterns, eat moon cakes, and appreciate the round moon. There will be FREE moon cakes, books, and school supplies as well as amazing giveaways and fun games! This event is hosted by the Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority.

PUMPKIN CARVING NORTHGATE CCFriday, October 18, 4:30-6:30pm. FREE. All Ages.Kick off the Fall season with a family pumpkin carving and decorating night! We’ll have pumpkins of all sizes with safe carving tools an paints to create your spooky or funky jack-o-lantern! All ages welcome. *Pumpkins are limited.

BIG PUMPKIN BASH BITTER LAKE CCSaturday, October 19, 6-8 p.m. $10. All Ages.Get your costumes and bring your family out for ghoulish-good fun with carnival games, face painting, refreshments, and the always popular cake walk! Bring a can of food to donate. Volunteer hours are available. Call 206-684-7524 for more details. $0.25/ ticket and $10/entry bracelet payable by cash or check.

BALLARD HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL BALLARD CCFriday, October 25, 6-8pm. $10. All ages.Early Bird gets the gummy worm! Crafts, music, food, games, prizes and fun. There is something here for everyone. Come try your luck while there is still time.

HALLOWEEN AT THE HEIGHTS BASH LOYAL HEIGHTS CCFriday, October 25, 6-8:30pm. $12. All AgesJoin us for a fright fest of activities, carnival games, music, challenges and more. Dress in Costume and remember to bring a bag for your goodies. Food available for sale. Volunteers are needed for before, during, and after the event. Proceeds from the wristband tickets support LHCC Scholarships.

MAGNUSON HAUNTED HOUSE MAGNUSON CCFriday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 from 5-10pm. $6. All ages.Join us for a spooky, spine-tingling walk through the depths of Mag nuson Community Center. Listen for the voices of the past (and the future) as you make your way through our dark, winding hallways filled with ghosts and ghouls, but watch where you’re walking, you never know what will be waiting for you around the next corner!

HALLOWEEN BOUNCE AND SWIM GREEN LAKE CCFriday, October 25, 6-8pm. FREE. Ages 2 and Older.Green Lake Community Center and Evans Pool are co-hosting a haunted celebration! This event has it all from carnival games and bouncy houses from 6-8 p.m. We’ll have two public swims. One from 6:30-7:30pm and the second one at 7:30-8:30pm. It’s a family swim where you dodge floating pumpkins! (Swimsuits and towels are a must!) Canned food donations will be collected at the door to support our local food banks.

CREEPY CARNIVAL FOR KIDS GARFIELD CCFriday, October 25, 5-7pm. FREE. Ages 12 and YoungerGet in the Halloween spirit with this spooky event! Enjoy music, carni val games, face painting, and lots of treats.

PUMPKIN PALOOZA INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT/ CHINATOWN CCFriday, October 25, 5-7pm. FREE. 17 and Under.Don’t miss our annual Pumpkin Palooza! You’ll play games, enjoy food, and have lots of fun! Check out our face painting, costume contest, pumpkin decorating, arts & crafts activities, and cookie decorating. And of course, we’ll have lots of prizes and candy.

WELCOME BACK HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL MONTLAKE COMMUNITY CENTERSaturday, October 26, 12-3pm. FREE. All ages.We’re BACK! Grab a friend and neighbor, put on your best costume, and come celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Montlake Community Center! Step right up and try your hand at winning our carnival games, enjoy fun face painting, and snack on some FREE grilled cheese from Franz Bakery! Discover valuable community resources and check our exciting upcoming programs. It’s a day of joy, re-connection, and celebration—we can’t wait to see you there! 

BOO BASH AT THE BEACH TRUNK OR TREAT RAINIER BEACH COMMUNITY CENTERSunday, October 27, 2-5pm. FREE. All ages.Enjoy entertainment, dance, music, poetry, drill team, children’s activities, food trucks, trunk or treat, and more at Rainier Beach Community Center in collaboration with CHAMPS.

COSTUME CRAWL TOT GYM GARFIELD CCMonday, October 28, 10am-1pm. FREE. Ages 1 month-5 years.Toddler gym, spooky crafts and snacks. Come in your costume!

PUMPKIN PALOOZA LAURELHURST CCThursday, October 31. 10:30am-12:30pm. FREE. Ages 6 and UnderJoin us in some Halloween fun! Our pint-sized pumpkin-palooza will have games, music, treats and fun for all. Costumes are optional, but encouraged! (Pre-registration required.)

TOT CARNIVAL QUEEN ANNE CCThursday, October 31, 10am-1pm. FREE. All Ages.Have your tots try on their Halloween costumes and join in some pre-Halloween fun. Our mini carnival will have games, treats, and fun for all. Costumes are optional but encouraged! 10/31 Tuesday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

HIGH POINT TOT FALL FEST HIGH POINT COMMUNITY CENTERThursday, October 31, 10am-12pm. FREE with donation. For tots walking through age 5.A canned good donation will get you in the door. T.P. toss, ring the pumpkin, spooky crafts, cupcake walk, bone dancing, spooky promenade are all part of the fun. Come join us IF YOU DARE! All food donations will be donated to the food bank.

TOT FALL FESTIVAL VAN ASSELT COMMUNITY CENTERThursday, October 31, 11am-2pm. FREE. Ages 5 and under.Get into your Halloween costume and spirit! We’ll have a cupcake walk, pumpkin and cookie decorating, arts and crafts, and spooky music.
