Community Input Needed for Judkins Park Renovations

Seattle, WA-Seattle Parks and Recreation invites the community to help shape the future of Judkins Park at two upcoming events.

Please join us at the engagement events below:

These events will provide opportunities for youth and community members to learn about planned renovations to the park, share feedback, and help shape a vision of inclusivity, equity, and accessibility for this treasured neighborhood space. The Judkins Park Renovation Project will include renovating and expanding the playground, spray park, and restrooms, constructing new inclusive play spaces and sensory nature play areas with a focused commitment to preserving the park’s historical significance while advancing equity and accessibility.

This project is made possible by Seattle Parks and Recreation through partnerships with Africatown Community Land Trust (ACLT), The William Grose Center, No More Under, A Personal Point of View LLC, and Inclusion Matters. Each organization brings unique expertise to ensure the project is community-focused and inclusive. By leveraging public-private partnerships, the project aims to maximize benefits to the community and each organization is committed to honoring the neighborhood’s history and prioritizing inclusivity in a community that has experienced redlining, displacement, and gentrification.
