Celebration of Life for Keitha Thomas-Day

Keitha Thomas-Day

March 3, 1957 – February 27, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mother Keitha Thomas-Day, who departed this life on February 27, 2025. She was born on March 3, 1957, in Louisiana as one of thirteen children to her loving parents, both of whom preceded her in death.

Keitha relocated to Michigan in 1973 and later made Washington State her home in 1981. She devoted her life to serving others through her many roles in the community. From 1987 to 1999, she owned and operated an in-home daycare and served as a foster parent, providing nurturing and loving care to countless children. Keitha then became a dedicated house manager until her retirement.

Her faith was a central part of her life. She was deeply committed to serving the Lord, which led her to host Bible classes for neighborhood children in partnership with a local mission. In 1990, Keitha joined her church family, where she became an influential member, serving in the choir, usher committee, and hospitality ministry. She was later ordained as Mother of the Church in 2022.

Keitha’s generous and caring spirit touched everyone around her. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, whom she married in 1993. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love, and joy.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as a host of siblings, extended family, and cherished friends.

Mother Keitha Thomas-Day’s legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of all those she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains a guiding light to her family, friends, and community.

A celebration of her life and homegoing service will be held on March 29, 2025, at 11:00 am.

Located at MLK Memorial Baptist Church in Renton, WA.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
