Seattle Association of Black Journalists Hosts Free Event to Connect Black Voters with Key Candidates for Washington State Governor and Attorney General

Seattle, WA - The Seattle Association of Black Journalists (SABJ) will host Black Voices Matter - Election 2024: The Candidates and Stakes of the 2024 Election on October 5, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Rainier Arts Center, 3515 S. Alaska St., Seattle. This free event provides a crucial platform for Black voters to connect with candidates for two statewide offices—Governor and Attorney General—that are vital to the safety, prosperity, and future of the community.

The event will also feature expert analysis from local political strategist Crystal Fincher and Rainier Beach community leader Gregory Davis, both of whom have strong followings in the community. Their insights will offer a comprehensive overview of the candidates’ policies and their potential impact on the future of the region.

Confirmed candidates include:

  • Bob Ferguson (D), Candidate for Governor (4:15 PM)

  • Dave Reichert (R), Candidate for Governor (4:30 PM)
