Seattle, WA – October 7, 2024 – SCIDpda is proud to announce that Beacon Pacific
Village, the newest affordable housing development in Seattle's North Beacon Hill (on the Pacific Tower Campus), is now leasing. New residents can now begin moving in as
they are approved, with the building having officially obtained its Temporary Certificate
of Occupancy (TCO) on September 25, 2024. Studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom
units are currently available, as the three- and four-bedroom units have already been
pre-leased. Beacon Pacific Village, a mixed-use community offering 160 affordable
homes in Phase I, is designed to support families, seniors, and working-class
individuals, with a focus on addressing displacement in our community. Leases are
income-restricted to households earning less than 50% and 60% of the Area Median
Income (AMI).

SCIDpda has partnered with CISC, InterIm CDA, and Horn of Africa Services to
assist applicants with language needs, ensuring access to resources and information
during the housing application process. More information about these community
leasing partners can be found here.
SCIDpda is also implementing its community preference policy at Beacon Pacific
Village, prioritizing affordable housing for households where one or more members live
in or have been displaced from census tracts 90, 91, 93, and 94 in the past 40 years.
Applicants must provide documentation to verify their connection to these areas,
ensuring that those with long-standing ties to the neighborhood are prioritized in the
leasing process. More information about community preference can be found here.
Beacon Pacific Village apartments are located on the same site as vital community
services, including the Jose Marti Child Development Center, operated by El Centro de
la Raza, and a PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) facility, owned and
operated by International Community Health Services (ICHS). The project is part of
SCIDpda’s mission to preserve, promote, and develop the Seattle Chinatown
International District and surrounding neighborhoods as vibrant, inclusive communities.
SCIDpda’s real estate development strategy focuses on larger unit layouts to
accommodate multigenerational families and ensures that commercial spaces are filled
with service providers relevant to the communities they serve.
